With valley food banks being busier that ever, this past Sunday the Punjabi Seva organization set out to provideadditional help for those facing hard times amid the coronavirus pandemic. Outside of Guru Nanak Dwara, Punjabi Sevaorganized a drive-up food bank handing out just over fifty bags containing essentials including masks, toilet paper, ca
ed goods, pasta and various snacks to those in need.
Punjabi Seva is a non-profit volunteer organization aimedat improving the well-being of families through confidential support, education, and wellness. Amid the current climate, Punjabi Seva has aimed to help those who may have been hit hardest with an inability to provide essentials for themselves or their families. In addition to the food bank drive-thru, the organization has donated non-perishable foods and hot meals to other organizations like the Caring Coalition in Phoenix, Child Crisis Center in Mesa, Youth Center in Mesa, Vineyard Church in Phoenix, and Carl Hayden High School Distribution Center. ings from 9 to 11am or until supplies lastin order to help those in need within the community.
