On December 26, 2017, what a great celebration the Christmas was by the ISAA family. Everything was in place- decorations, Christmas tree, caroling and of course Santa too. The ladies had arrived with colorful sarees, and the men had beautiful dresses too. All this added excitement to the morning. Guests enjoyed masaledar chay and cookies while socializing. Santa arrived with fanfare and music. Young and old all had their pictures taken with Santa. Once all got seated, the musical concert got underway. The program as it unfolded is attached above. The artist- Priyal performed sensationally. Her husband Niken kept her going as he picked the songs to build the lively tempo of music and dance. But, as with everything, the concert ended with total Joy. Our sponsors today were Minaben and Kanubhai. Their whole family and friends were all happy the way program unfolded. Over one hundred twenty young at hearts enjoyed the program. Minaben, in her remarks said a few words of advice. A portion of that is attached here-“ISAA is like an Army which fights for loneliness, sadness and rudeness in their senior years. Plus, supporting healthy, happy and harmonious atmosphere to all who has positive receiver in their heart”. On Jan 02, 2018, Guests and incoming members had a great time socializing and wishing Happy New Year to one another. ISAA welcomed the New Year 2018 with a beautiful prayer. This followed a presentation of video clips including- laughter therapy, benefits of yogurt, reheating of cooked food, O Meri Jahan Zabin, Kuhu Kuhu bole Koyalia, wonderful women, Pushpanjali dance, Dham dhama dham mast kalandar. Shrikantbhai presented a beautiful solo. The fourth quarter financial report, as prepared by Narayanbhai, was presented. The sponsors today were Champaben and associates.
On January 9th 2018, we enjoyed a powerful and educational presentation by Daniel Rondberg of Nation’s 1st Financial. He approached the topic of investment in the current climate of New Tax Laws just passed by the US congress with a humorous game of” Blinds leading Blinds”. The presentation was well received by the audience. Many of them look forward to working with them on personal matters of interest. Today’s luncheon was sponsored by the Nation’s 1st Financial, and was enjoyed by well over seventy members and guests. The ISAA members thank the Rondbergs- Randy and Daniel along with his wife and the baby too.
On Jan 16, 2018, nothing could be more enjoyable than flying kites. So many of us who arrived early had a chance to do just that. The weather was just perfect for that. January 14 marks the beginning of the Sun’s movement northwards. In India this a big festival day-especially in Gujarat. The meeting got underway with a laughter therapy as this puts everyone in a good mood. Gary Vaswani paid a short tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King’s birthday. Meena Sharmaji made a beautiful short colorful presentation on Lohari ceremony as it happens in Punjab. The video clips program followed. This included- Mohammad Rafi’s granddaughter’s song, a mind blowing trick, dangers of adulterations in Hyderabad A.P., Pearl Foundation’s heightened accomplishments, Old times sake, brighten your day and life, Richest man in the world-Dhirubhai Ambani-a tribute by Amitabh, hit songs of Nargis and winner of Kids voice. The luncheon today was hosted by the ISAA. Chhotubhai briefed about a new Day care center in Gilbert (Angel Day Care 500 S. Gilbert Road, Gilbert, AZ 85296 Tel. 480-630-6211).
On Jan 23, 2018, ISAA began the meeting this morning with prayers in the memory of Kapilaben, and Dr. Saigal. Kapilaben was a great supporter of our group whereas Dr. Saigal was instrumental in the start of ISAA group. As usual, we started with the video clips on Laughter Therapy, and Sit-downs Yoga. Indian Republic Day was celebrated with a salute to the flag and singing of the National Anthem. Jitubhai then introduced Arushee Divyakirti and Tom Lucas from New York Life who made an educational presentation on “Strategies for helping Retirees”. New York Life also sponsored our luncheon today. Thanks to them on behalf of ISAA.
