This means,550 deaths are added during the last 30 days in AZ. Over 1,613,680 positivescases nationwide (over 5.31m globally) with 96535 deaths nationwide and over342,000globally, and rising. Seniors, who are weak and have health issues, MUST NOT take any chances. Strict adherence to self-quarantine, is highly recommended! ISAA Working Committee therefore reevaluated the situation and decided to follow the Best Practicesin the best interest of our respected membership. During the month of May, ISAA members celebratedISAA Working Committee made some preliminary trials. This was followed by ISAA holding video meetings for four groups, each with limited few members on an experimental lea
ing basis, on April 28th and 29th respectively. Those who were in attendance, enjoyed seeing and speaking face-to-face with fellow members and very dear friends after a gap of long time.
With the success accomplished, ISAA held an open Z00M-meeting, May 05th Tuesday. We began the call with Welcome Prayer for Peace followed by each attending participant was given an opportunity to greet his/her message to fellow friends. Indian Seniors Association of Arizona (ISAA)continues to work with Sewa Inte
ational -(Sewa), in assisting in making masks for healthcare and other frontline service providers during these difficult times caused by COVID 19 Pandemic.
ISAA’s appeal to its membership continues to receivingfavorable responses with contributions of significance in making a difference. Six(6) x sewing machines owned by ISAA member, continue making masks on a daily basis Additionally, ISAA Members are also contributed the needed materials for making masks. Also, financial donations are totaling now $802 thus far. Additionally, one ISAA member is committed to supportSewa Inte
ational’s CHILD EDUCATION PROGRAMME sponsoring a child in India.
ISAA received a request for assistance in regards to two Indian girls, who have lost their jobs due to COVID-19 Pandemic lockdown. They are now without accommodation and money. They need accommodation till end of June. We mention this with great joy that ISAA members came forward with generous monetary and humanitarian assistance, even one female member offered accommodation help too to these stranded girls spontaneously. ISAA is very proud of these goodhearted extended Family members!
