India Association hosted the 69th Republic Day celebration at Arcadia High School, Indian School Road, Phoenix, on Sunday the 28th January or 2018. The event was well attended and appreciated by the community. Mr Jay Kerley, Group Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Applied Materials, was the Chief Guest at the program accompanied by his wife and daughter. He is a well-travelled and well informed about India and its culture. He leads the Global Information Services organization to enable worldwide business solutions and infrastructure. He has figured in various media sources. His wife Lisa, who accompanied him, is involved in various local and international charities.
The organizers of the event have expressed their appreciation for the support and patronage they have received from the community. The smiles on the faces of the audience seeing their near and dear perform brought lots of cheer to the group who worked hard to make this event happen. The participants appreciated the flow of the events and the other arrangements . The Board appreciated the efforts that the volunteers put in, in making the event a great success. Board was also thankful to the very enthusiastic master of ceremonies Anju Kharbanda and Gargi Chatterjee for their skillful conducting of the event.
India Association was happy to note the efforts the parents make to keep their next generation rooted to their culture and traditions. They request one and all to be an integral part of this organization and also come and join them for ‘Holi’ on March 11th at South Mountain Park.
